May 10 – Join us in protesting Attorney General Eric Holder’s visit to Berkeley this Saturday, May 11th, 8:45-11am. Holder has been invited to address the commencement of Berkeley Law School at the Hearst Greek Theater.
Just days ago, Holder’s Dept. of Justice filed a forfeiture suit against the Berkeley Patients’ Group, one of the most respected dispensaries in the Bay Area.
Show A.G. Holder that he is not welcome in Berkeley, California while his Dept. of Justice runs roughshod over medical marijuana and Prop 215! Dress nicely; bring signs if you have them.
Where: Meet on Saturday at 8:45am on the west side of Gayley at the intersection with Stadium Rim Way (South Dr.). We will then move northwards to the main gate of the Hearst Greek Theatre at 9:00am to hand out our fliers. See Map
How to get there: The closest BART station is Berkeley Center, which is at least a mile and a half from the Greek Theater. Best to take the UC Bear Transit shuttle bus, which runs from BART to campus. The P line leaves from BART at the intersection of Addison and the east side of Shattuck, every 15 minutes from 7 am onward. Take the Gayley/ Cory Hall stop, which is located right by our meeting place at Gayley and Rimway. Parking is very scarce – closest garage may be a mile away on Channing St. west of Telegraph.

Because this is a law school graduation we’re crashing, we’ll be handing out fake Department of Justice recruitment fliers to graduates and families that point out the absurdity of the war on medical cannabis. Dress nicely if you can and make yourself look like a possible recruiter as you hand out fliers!
